TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: 21 July 2026

1. ABOUT US

This website and online store are operated by Nook & Nordic Limited, trading as Zalic ("Zalic", "we", "us" or "our"). Nook & Nordic Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 17278136. Our address is 8 Cobb Close, Datchet, Slough, SL3 9QZ, United Kingdom.

You can contact us by email at info@zalic.co.uk or by telephone on +44 7828 087408.

Shopify provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to operate this store. Purchases made through the store are contracts between you and Nook & Nordic Limited, not Shopify.

2. THESE TERMS

These Terms of Service apply when you visit our website, create an account or place an order with us. They should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law. If you are a consumer outside the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory rights under the law of your country of residence.

3. USING OUR WEBSITE

You may use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the website, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, scrape it by automated means without permission, or use it in a way that infringes another person's rights.

You are responsible for keeping any account credentials secure and for ensuring that information you provide is accurate and current.

4. PRODUCT INFORMATION

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, measurements, prices and availability are accurate. Images are illustrative, and colours or appearance may vary according to your screen and normal manufacturing differences.

Measurements are approximate unless we expressly state otherwise. Product packaging may differ from images while the product itself remains materially as described.

We may correct errors or update product information. If a material error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you and offer an appropriate solution, which may include cancellation and a full refund.

5. ORDERS AND CONTRACT FORMATION

Placing an order is an offer to buy the selected products. After you submit an order, we will send an acknowledgement. This acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order.

A binding contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the products, whichever occurs first. We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance if, for example, a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, information is incorrect, a pricing error is obvious, delivery is unavailable, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.

If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled item or order to the original payment method.

Products are supplied for personal use unless we agree otherwise in writing. You must review your order and delivery information before submitting it and contact us promptly if anything is incorrect.

6. PRICES AND PAYMENT

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the store. The total payable, including applicable delivery charges, will be shown before you confirm the order. Customs duties, import taxes and similar charges imposed by the destination country may be payable separately unless checkout expressly states that they are included.

Payment is processed using the methods offered at checkout. You confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method. Promotions and discount codes are subject to their stated conditions and cannot be exchanged for cash.

7. DELIVERY

Available destinations, delivery options, charges and estimated delivery times are described in our Shipping Policy and displayed at checkout where applicable.

Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed date. We are responsible for the goods until they come into your physical possession, or the possession of a person you identify to receive them, except where you independently arrange a carrier that we did not offer.

Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address. Contact us immediately if you notice an error; we cannot guarantee that details can be changed after dispatch.

8. CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Our voluntary 30-day returns policy and instructions are set out in our Return and Refund Policy.

For eligible online purchases delivered in the United Kingdom or European Union, consumers generally have a legal right to cancel without giving a reason within 14 days after receiving the goods, followed by a further 14 days in which to return them. Exceptions may apply, including to personalised, perishable, sealed hygiene-sensitive or other legally excluded products.

Where required by law, a cancellation refund includes the price paid and the cost of standard delivery. Any additional cost for an enhanced delivery option is not normally refundable. We may reduce a refund where handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has diminished the value of the goods. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods are governed by your statutory rights.

To request a cancellation or return, contact info@zalic.co.uk and include your order number. Please consult our Return and Refund Policy for full instructions before sending anything back.

9. FAULTY OR DAMAGED GOODS

Please inspect your order after delivery and contact us promptly if an item is faulty, damaged, incomplete or not as described. Include your order number and, where reasonably possible, photographs showing the issue. We will assess the matter and provide the remedy required by applicable law.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The website and its content, including our branding, text, graphics, photographs and layout, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell or commercially exploit our content without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Third-party names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Shopify's trademarks belong to Shopify.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use services supplied by payment, delivery, analytics or technology providers. Those providers may apply their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for third-party websites that we do not control, but this does not limit any responsibility that the law places on us for services we select to fulfil your order.

12. LIABILITY

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and liability arising under mandatory consumer-protection law.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for business losses arising from a consumer purchase.

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from minor technical errors. This does not affect our obligations relating to products you purchase.

13. PERSONAL INFORMATION

We process personal information as explained in our Privacy Policy. Because our store is hosted by Shopify, Shopify and relevant service providers process information needed to operate the store, take payments, prevent fraud, deliver orders and provide customer support.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our services or the law. The terms displayed when you place an order will normally apply to that order. A change will not retrospectively reduce rights under an existing contract.

15. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These terms and contracts made through our store are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections provided by the law of your country of residence.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, but consumers living in Scotland, Northern Ireland or another country may also bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable law.

Please contact us first if you have a complaint so that we can try to resolve it.
